MOMS Club® of Cedar Rapids, IA

Our history begins the same way that international began, with a stay-at-home mom looking for others in similar situations. She had some luck and came across MOMS Club International on an internet search.  At the time there were no local chapters, so in September 2001 she started the Cedar Rapids chapter. Four years later, the local chapter had more than tripled in size. 

Joining MOMS Club is a great way to meet other parents and make new friends for you and for your child. We are limited in our boundaries by International by-laws to help form a close-knit community. Our local chapter welcomes moms mainly living in Cedar Rapids, Hiawatha, and Palo. However, we do have members from other towns as well!

The club’s main function is to offer one another support, resources, and friendship. Being a parent can be an isolating experience in some circumstances and our hope is that our members find comfort in being part of a community that truly understands that being a parent is a full-time job in itself.  Whether you need something fun for you and your kids to do on a Tuesday morning, or a reference for a good dentist, doctor, or school, MOMS Club is a great resource.  

Our group is a mix of families from all different backgrounds with all kinds of interests. We are not only made up of just our members but we also have an elected Executive Board to oversee all club business, correspondence with the community, and guide our club in the right direction. The Executive Board consists of a President, Vice President, Membership Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary. We nominate and vote on who fills the spots each June.
